Swedish-based audio brand Sudio sent us its latest ANC earbuds, the Sudio Ett, for review. It brings with it a premium build, great sound, active noise cancellation, and a wireless charging case.

Interestingly, ett in Swedish means “one”. And as the brand’s top TWS earphones, the name fits it nicely. But in a sea of truly wireless earbuds, can it stand out from the crowd? Is it worth our money? Let’s find out.

Design and Features

The Sudio Ett has an in-ear design with a short stem, a soft-touch matte finish, and a physical button on each earbud. It’s compact, yet chunky but looks decent with an impressive build quality, a clean layout, and smooth curves.

It has physical buttons for controls. I found it easy to use and responsive. Moreover, the buttons are surprisingly soft and shallow, so pressing them doesn’t jam the earbuds into your ears.

• 1 click: Play/pause music; Answer calls
• 2 clicks: Play next track
• 3 clicks: Go back to the previous track
• Long press 2 seconds: Turn ANC on/off
• Long press 6 seconds: Turn off earphones

The earbuds come with ANC, Bluetooth 5, and a charging case with active noise cancellation (ANC). It has an IPX5 certification, giving it resistance to sweat and splashes of water. This means you can take it to the gym, on a run, or out in the rain without worrying about damaging them.

Pairing the buds was a breeze as they start automatically as soon as you take them out of the charging case. All that’s left to do is just go to your smartphone’s Bluetooth settings to complete the pairing.

Performance

The Sudio Ett is equipped with 10mm drivers. Sound quality is excellent, despite having just an SBC codec. It likely would have been better should it support aptX, but most will probably not mind this at all.

The earbuds have a warm tone with good punchy bass. Vocals are clean and detailed, with the tendency to pop given its wide soundstage and good separation.

Its ANC performance is good as well, able to block around 75 to 80 percent of outside noise. Take note that the type of sound the earbuds can block is mostly deep, resonant sound such as the low repetitive rumbling of an air-conditioner or electric fan, or the annoying sound of a plane’s engine during a flight.

Call quality is good. I haven’t received any complaints so far from people I’m talking to. The earphones have an ambient mode that let’s you hear yourself while on a call.

Battery life is great. It can last up to 6 hours without ANC, and up to 4 hours with ANC on. The charging case adds four more extra charges. It also supports wireless charging, which is convenient if you already have a wireless charging pad for your phone.

Verdict

The Sudio Ett is a great pair of TWS earbuds. It offers excellent sound with amazing battery life, decent ANC performance, and premium build quality.

The earbuds aren’t perfect, though, as it does have its quirks. Some may be turned off by limited codec support, while others might be repelled by its price tag.

Regardless, it a good buy considering what it offers. You will not go wrong with this one.
