Nubia is extending its product portfolio by introducing new IoT products. There’s a bizarre-looking smartwatch and new TWS earphones.
Nubia’s gaming smartphone business is garnering a lot of attention, especially with the release of the Nubia Red Magic 5G and the new Red Magic 5S. Now, the company is doubling down to entice more mobile gamers with their new aggressively-looking accessories, starting with the Nubia Watch.
This one takes a lot of inspiration from the Nubia Alpha last year. For those who don’t remember, the Alpha has basically a full-fledged smartphone with a foldable screen that you can slap in your wrist.
The Nubia Watch removes the ludicrousness and sticks with a curved, elongated 4.01-inch AMOLED touch screen. There’s also a crown on the side for touch-free navigation so you don’t ruin the screen. The body itself is still very striking with its stainless steel and aluminum materials. You can then choose between standard silicone or napa leather straps.

Just like most smartwatches, it has a heart-rate sensor and other related hardware that help you track your activities, sleep, and workouts. The watch can also stand on its own with its e-SIM functionality, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and WiFi.
The Nubia Watch has a price of CNY1,799 (around Php12,600) and will be available in China on August 5. You can get it in Black, Green, and Red. Pricing and availability outside China, especially here in the Philippines, are yet to be announced.
Nubia has also joined the TWS competition with the new Red Magic TWS earbuds. Unsurprisingly, it offers an aggressive for-gamers aesthetic. The in-ear design should provide decent bass. It also has touch-sensitive controls on each bud, fast connect to Nubia phones, and a collective battery life of 20 hours.
It has a price of CNY299 (around Php1,400) in China. No word if it will arrive in other countries, too.
