The highly anticipated OnePlus Nord, the company’s upcoming mid-range phone in a long time, have been fully revealed — somewhat.

Carl Pei, OnePlus chief executive officer, did an interview with tech YouTuber MKBHD. In the video that you can see below, the CEO has revealed the design the OnePlus Nord without entirely spilling the key specs and features.

At around 14 minutes in the interview, Pei has revealed the upcoming device in the flesh. It appears that the device will come in an eye-candy Teal colorway, which further hints its budget status.

You can also notice him wearing the upcoming OnePlus Buds TWS earphones.

Unlike the flagship OnePlus 8 series, it has a shiny surface that could either be glass or plastic. We also have the triple cameras on the top left. With the OnePlus logo and emblem in their usual location.

Although the screen is off, you can notice from the front shot of the device that it will have dual selfie cameras. That’s in line with a previous leak, which also reveals that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G with 5G connectivity, has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,300mAh battery

The CEO was also generous enough to show the L-shaped camera design prototype that they were working on. And judging by how it looks like, we’re glad they didn’t end up with that look.

Pei also revealed some of the costs that come with a smartphone feature. For one, adding NFC on a phone costs USD4.00 (around Php200), while having an IP rating will add USD15 (around Php700) to the price due to the rigorous tests that need to be conducted.

Carl Pei said it is thanks to the new and more powerful midrange processors like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G that they were finally encouraged to re-enter the midrange segments. These types of chipsets are expected to bring uncompromised experience, like what their flagship devices offer.

The OnePlus Nord will be fully unveiled on July 21, 2020.
