OPPO has announced the launch of a new smartphone — the OPPO A12s in Cambodia. This new phone is an off-shoot of the OPPO A12 that was earlier launched in India last month and Indonesia in April.

There are lots of similarities between the OPPO A12s and the OPPO A12 except that the new model brings a different color options of grey and blue to the table. The OPPO A12s screen utilises a waterdrop notch design, with a 6.2-inch HD+ display.

The OPPO A12s gets its power from an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 12nm chipset which teams up with 3GB of RAM and internal storage of 32GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card up to 256GB. The back panel has a plain matte finish which is different from the OPPO A12 that has the 3D Diamond Blaze finish.

For photography, the OPPO A12s packs a combination of a 13-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor at the rear in a horizontally aligned dual-camera setup. In addition, the phone packs a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Finally, the smartphone runs on Android 10-based ColorOS 6.1 and keeping the lights on is a 4,230mAh battery.

As for the pricing, the OPPO A12s which is available in only 3GB+32GB version adopts a price tag of $129. The phone is scheduled to be available in Cambodia soon, but international pricing and release date are currently unknown.
