We all know that a time will come that Samsung will eventually abandon Snapdragon in favor of its own Exynos chipset. The tech giant has been on the process for quite a while now. For years, they have been producing flagship devices with two different processors depending on geographic location.

The reality, however, reveals that leaving Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon is not easy for Samsung. Benchmarks suggest that in terms of performance, Exynos does not yield the same results as that of Snapdragon despite Samsung insisting otherwise. Moreover, some consumer groups even pushed for Samsung to stop using Exynos.

Regardless, a tweet suggests that Samsung is doing quite the opposite. It says that the brand will no longer use Snapdragon 875 for the Galaxy S21. Instead, it might use the upcoming Exynos 1000 Silicon in all markets including the US and China. Why is that so?

One of the many reasons is the price increase. Reports say that the upcoming Snapdragon 875 will cost $100 more than the Snapdragon 865. This difference is a huge deal for Samsung.

According to another rumor, the brand plans to reduce the starting price of the device to attract more customers. Besides, the Snapdragon 875 is “overkill” as flagship processors are already good enough for most people. He also cited that “Exynos 1000 look better” in comparison with Snapdragon 865.
