SHAREit surpasses Instagram among top downloaded apps in PH - Android

The company shared that it had exceptional growth in the Philippines. It got a 15% month-on-month increase in daily active users since March of 2020, the month where community restrictions began.

As of writing, the file-sharing app now has close to 40 million monthly active users in the Philippines, overtaking renowned apps like Spotify and Viber.

Other than that, SHAREit also said that they had overtaken Instagram among the country’s top downloaded apps.

As per the company, the increase in active users is due to its strengths. For one, it’s said to be a “one-stop app for content discovery, entertainment,” and its key feature, “peer-to-peer file sharing.”

Another key attribute is the fact that it can be used offline or online.

Moreover, SHAREit said that local names like GCash and Kumu have already benefited from their marketing partnership with the brand.
