Samsung’s hardware choice for its entry-level smartphones has always been questionable. But this latest one, the Galaxy M02s, is a little more bizarre.
The Samsung Galaxy M02s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, an aging chipset that’s almost four years old. On the upside, it has a generous 5,000mAh battery, with 15W fast charging.
It also has a pretty modern design. There’s a geometric design on the back, which is similar to the Galaxy A02s. In fact, the M02s feels like a rebranded version of the A02s. The only key difference here is the color options and the use of USB Type-C port instead of microUSB.
The M02s come in Red, Black, and Blue, while the A02s is only available in Black and White. Other than that, everything is identical. Even the 6.5-inch HD+ screen, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and triple cameras on the back led by a 13-megapixel main shooter.
As usual, India got first dibs on the Samsung Galaxy M02s, where it has an official price of INR8,999 (around Php5,900). Its release in other markets like the Philippines is yet to be revealed.
